Jott: Better than Twitter

Did you ever want to send an email to yourself but all you have is your phone?  Or want to send an email to a group? Or blog from your phone but you can't stand Twitter?


Here's Jott, and it's better. As if you are leaving a voicemail message, you can send an email to anyone you wish, as long as you've added them to your Contacts.  30 seconds...go.


I so wanted to do an example on this blog, but unfortunately, Roller is one of the few that is not available for sending a Jott message to a link.  (Yet another thing to dislike about Roller.


Jott will send the message in text as well as audio form.


When you first sign up, Jott has you send a message to yourself to test it out.  Here's what I got via email:

I'd heard about Jott before, but your blog post made me take another look. Now they offer "Jott Links," perfect for mashups. So I made one: Phonepedia.

I'm a BIG Jott fan-- they are #8 on my cell phone speed-dial. The transcription is usually pretty good, although they struggle with library terms... my recent message re: Serials Solutions became "Cereal Solutions"-- that put a smile on my face!
